The original intention was that our layout, Tarrant Riverside, originally a 4mm OO gauge Modern image layout, would be rebuilt as Goose Island but after some deliberation we have decided to start afresh.

The setting will still be mid 1970's Chicago area using a ficticious Short line "Michigan United Freight Fowarders". Lots of switching and interchange with the Chicago northwestern.  The layout will be built as a round and round layout with hidden storage sidings on at least 2 of the 4 sides. Different industries will be placed on each side, Brewery, Chocolate factory, Grain silos and an Engineers / scrapyard.  At the moment the graph paper is still being played with but we hope to build the layout as a 8ft x 8ft square with additional baseboards to extend it to 12ft x 8ft.

CNW will supply the passenger service using Budd railcars and gallery cars in push - pull mode.
