Today this is the  equivalent view due to the A23 / A27 road junction and 28 years growth of trees...... The railway line is still there honest!

The loco was named  19/9/87 so I'm guessing this photo wasn't taken long after that.

October 2008:- This purchased slide has a nice view of 5Bel 3053 in platform 8 at Brighton station. From the crowds of people and the steam locomotive behind it there must be a station open day on the go. Slide is dated 3/9/77.

Our home is London Road station in Brighton which gets approx 3-4 trains an hour in each direction all day long.  Pity the villagers of Chathill. Two trains a day twelve hours apart and both go south!  This is the evening service 2N53 the 1908 Chathill to Hexham. There are also two arrivals again both from the south.
